“This was easily the nicest bar I visited in Bucharest. Not at all touristy. I was the only one doing a tasting but that didn't detract from the experience. Was given interesting explanations for each wine, then allowed time to enjoy them while nibbling the generous portion of cheeses and cold meats. If I was a local, I'd be a regular in this bar. Book this experience, it's a couple of hours well spent.”

“the guide did not manage time between vineyards well, actual wine tasting was shorter than the sommelier history on the vineyard. Because of this poor management lunch was skipped and the guide had a verbal disagreement with the second vineyard sommelier, yet the second vineyard had better time management between the history and the wine tasting”

“Our amazing guide took us on a journey through Romania’s past, informing us of different regional architecture and the history of these areas. This was followed by a visit to a local wine bar where we tasted wines made from Romania’s regional grape. Very yummy! Mike was very prompt, articulate and knowledgeable. “The salt mine is huge but not spectacular. The visit to Lacerta winery and the wine tasting experience was the highlight of the day, so we would strongly recommend taking this tour on a weekend. The muddy volcanoes are a nice attraction as it is not something that we've seen before. The guide, Mihai, was very courteous, made sure we made the most of our day, picked us up on time and provided useful information not just on the visited attractions but on Romanian history and attractions.”

Dealu Mare is the best red wine-producing area in Romania and Mihai's selection of wineries to visit highlighted the quality, tragic history, beauty, and growing potential of the area. “Our guide and owner of this amazing experience was lonuts. He is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the areas visited and Romania in general. He made sure the bikes were adjusted just right for each of us before we started. The bikes he provided were in excellent condition. The entire journey was approximately 18 miles.
