“The salt mine is huge but not spectacular. The visit to Lacerta winery and the wine tasting experience was the highlight of the day, so we would strongly recommend taking this tour on a weekend. The muddy volcanoes are a nice attraction as it is not something that we've seen before. The guide, Mihai, was very courteous, made sure we made the most of our day, picked us up on time and provided useful information not just on the visited attractions but on Romanian history and attractions.”

“Slanic salt mine is around 100 kilometres north of Bucharest which took just under 2.5 hours due to traffic jams and one 'comfort stop'. Naturally, there were traffic jams both coming and going - 'the Government will finish the new road ONE day - no set date'. Once at the site, we boarded a ‘mine’ bus and were taken underground to 208 metres below the surface – it took 7 and ½ minutes to get there from the car park.
